Premier Bride

So now that I am with a fantastic hotel, along with it comes some exciting perks to my job. Now this may not seem major to everyone but to me it was the highlight of my day.

Today we hosted the Premier Bridal Magazine's Power Luncheon at our hotel. We have a wonderful relationship with the magazine and we also advertise with them. I was surrounded by industry professionals and got to see it from the vendor side instead of the visitor side. I am definitely looking forward to working more with brides in addition to my corporate accounts. Premier Bride Richmond

Life as a Convention Services Manager

So to the people that do not know...I recently changed jobs (yes, again!). I am super excited about my new position and things have been great so far. My current position is the Convention Services Manager which means I handle all of the event planning and logistics for the events. Not only is this position doing what I love with event planning it is also working for a 4-Diamond Number one Westin Hotel in all of North America. It is a huge honor that they event selected me! She's a crafty one

So while our house is on the market and we are living in an apartment, my craft supplies are living in boxes 2.5 hours away. Anyone that knows me knows that I am always wanting to make something or I see something and I swear that I can make it at home instead of buying it. My list of things that I want to make is only growing as we not so patiently wait to sell our house and move into our new home. There is just not enough room in our apartment to make a craft corner let alone store anything that I make. When we do get into our new house there will definitely be a designated craft room. If Hubby B gets a man cave...I get a craft room. I even purchased a fantastic mannequin (not the creepy kind) for only $25 and these things are usually upwards of $300. I just thought it was cool and of course bestie S was there to encourage the purchase!

I am positive that I would run faster and workout harder if these were my gym shoes. Anyone else ever said something like that? These might not be for everyone but I would definitely rock them :o)

Balancing Act

Even though I am only taking 2 classes this semester, it is definitely stressful. Especially when I don't have your standard 9-5 career. While the perks of getting paid salary are awesome, sometimes I wish I was paid hourly just so there was a definite on/off button. I am currently taking a calculus class and to put it not so lightly I DESPISE IT. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to do 30 problems last night. Really?? So to whoever created calculus formulas...we would never be friends!

On a lighter note...hubby B's birthday is coming up! I usually make it well known what I would like to do for my birthday but he is the complete opposite. He didn't even know that his birthday was on a saturday night this year (helloooooo party!). I am still racking my brain for ideas of what to get/do for him. Most people say "what do you get the person that has everything?". Hubby B wants for nothing, literally! He is so laid back that he really doesn't want anything and not in the girly sense of "I don't want anything but you better buy me the world." All that he asked for was a day at Capital Ale House with his bros. I think we can make that work!

I love Jessica Simpson! I know she says the craziest things sometimes but she cracks me up. Besides the fact that she dated John Mayer (ew) and a Dallas Cowboy (bigger EW...Go Redskins!!) I think she is adorable.

These shoes are even more adorable! A little like Mary Janes but so much better.

Now if only I were not 5'8" tall and these weren't 4.5 inch heels!
